Why? Why? Why? Oh and Teeth

Brynlee has entered into the Why stage.  So I here why, why and why all the time now. Sometime it is AWWW no more whys!!!!  But for the most part I think it is really cute.
The why's come form her want to process more information and understand what is going on around her. For example- Brynlee go get your shoes on so we can go to the store. B-Why? Me-because you have to wear shoes when we go outside and at the store. B-Why go to the store?  I need to get a few things so I can make dinner and cookies. B-Why? Me-because we need to eat dinner and feel our tummies. B-And cookies!? Me-yes and we can have cookies too. B-okay.
So it may get frustrating sometimes but worth it to have her understand even the simplest things we do and if not that by me explaining somethings to her, it may just give her a bigger variety of words to use. So for now I think it is cute that is she in the why stage and love explaining things to her and see her process it in her little brain.

Oh and Teeth
Elene had 3 more teeth pop through this late week.  2 on top and 1 on the bottom.  And it looks like there is 2 more trying to get out.  Elene has Brynlee beat by how many teeth at the age of 16 months.  But that is because Brynlee started getting teeth at 15 months.  I am hoping with all the teeth that Elene is getting that she will be better at chewing her food and not swallowing it to soon.  I would love for her to not choke as much.  I also glad that we are at the stage of teeth coming in and not the pulling out stage.  I think it is so gross and hope my children will pull out there own teeth because I know when it gets to that point, I will not to it gross.

It is GONE!!!

It is gone, it is gone, it is GOONNNEEEEE!!!!!  I am so excited to tell you that my Gall Blatter is gone.  YAY! I went in last Wednesday, the surgery was at 1 and I was home by 7.  :) Recovery time is a little long but thankfully no more fruit and veggie only diet.  I lost 7 pounds on the diet, which was nice but I like to have a little more flavor to my meals.
One thing about surgery that I like is you go in and they put you to sleep and when you wake up it is all done and over with and right away they ask you if you want pain meds.  What else could you ask for.  I am not one that likes to take pain medication but after surgery or labor I think it is a must.  I have 4 incisions and they are healing well.  Some days are better then others but slowly getting better all the time.  If anyone has to get there gall blatter out, I say do it.  You might be down for about a week, but in the end being able to eat is worth it.

Doctors

Well were do we start...I have a few stories about the Doctors.  Elene, Jason and then myself, Brynlee got lucky this time.  We will start with Elene.

Elene went to her 15 Month Well Check and everything is good with her.  She is now 20 lbs 5 ounces. She gained 5 ounces since her year check up.  Which brings her down to 15% for weight.  The doctor is not concerned because she had so many ear infections in that time period and got tubes in her ears.  She still eats more then Brynlee so I am not worried at all.  She is 30.75 inches tall which drops her down to 70% in height, but she is still pretty tall.  She just keep growing.  :)

Jason- Jason goes to the gym during his lunch break.  Well about 2 weeks ago he didn't see a weight that was on the floor and he went running back to the starting line and step on the weight and rolled his ancle.  If swelled up really fast, so the trainer advised him to go to the doctors.  He just had a bad sprain.  He went back on Tuesday for a follow up and the doctor told him that he thinks he might have tore is Achilles tendon and would probilly have to have surgery.  Awww....But he went back today and ALL is well with him. NO surgery.  YAY!!!!

Me-Well I have had a off and on heart burn for a while now, but this last week an a half it has been almost every other day and it is bad.  Tuesday night I had heart burn again, the worst yet. I could not hold still and had to be moving and crying because it hurt so bad.  I ended up going to the Insta Care that night to try and get it under control.  As I was there they gave me some stuff that numbed it to get rid of the heart burn.  But I was still in a lot of pain.  The doctor started pushing on my stomach to see if there was pain and sure enough there was.  He said it might be your Gall Blatter but dont have a way to check it until tomorrow morning with the ultra sound machines are there.  So he again me some muscle relaxers and said try these but if they dont work you will need to go to the ER to check it out.  Needless to say I ended up at the ER.  To make a long story short.  after 4 hours in the ER I found out that I have Gall Stones and a few of them.  They recommend to have my Gall Blatter removed asap.  So Tuesday I am meeting with the surgen to get things rolling.  But until then my diet is Fruit and Veggies.

After this last couple of weeks and the next week to go I think we can say that we feel that we are good and dont really want to visit the doctors anytime soon.

Cute Sayings!

I don't have very many to share today but randomly I will be putting different cute sayings or cute things that my girls do so that I will have it written down and documented so that when my girls ask me when they are older what was I like or when I want to embarrass them I have something I can reflected on.

Brynlee- the newest one she has is "moddy" it is mom and dad put together into one word.  That way she covers both bases in who she is talking.

Elene well she doesn't quite talk yet but she does say a few words- Dada, gain (again), and bo (book) and mama is still yet to come.  I am hoping that with the tubes now in it will come soon.

Well that is all I can think of for now but I am sure more will come.

Tubes

For all of you that have been around my family that last 8 months knows or has kinda of heard of Elene's ear infections one after another after another and so on.  So after 8 ear infections in 8 months we went and saw our 2nd ENT (Ears, Nose and Throat specialist) and the did a pressure test on her and she completely failed on both sides.  You are supposed to have a peak on the graph, in her right ear it was just flat and in her left ear there was little waves.  Which means that her ear drums were not moving. Then they did a sounds test to check her hearing.  And well that one didn't go as good as i thought it would be.  I thought she was hearing pretty well.  She was responding to me and answering questions, so i thought her hearing was fine.  In the sound test they tested at what % did she hear voices.  Normal is 0-15% Elene heard 35% and then they did static noises, normal around 35% she heard 65-70%.  So with those test and the 8 ear infections we went with tubes.
So Monday she went and had them put in.  She hope right into the wagon and went with them no problem.  I am sure once they got her out of the wagon and she realized that I didn't come with that she cried, but that is to be expected.  We got her back 15 minutes after they took her.  She was awake again and as mad and can be.  I think she felt heart broken because we left her alone. But once we got home she was as happy as can be.  For most of that day she was making noises, because she realized she can hear.  I am so glad that we did the tubes for her.
She isn't quite sleeping through the night yet, but I am sure that is not to far off the in the distance.  I think the teething is what is stalling it now.  But I am excited for the day when I can sleep through the night on a regular base.
