Tubes

For all of you that have been around my family that last 8 months knows or has kinda of heard of Elene's ear infections one after another after another and so on.  So after 8 ear infections in 8 months we went and saw our 2nd ENT (Ears, Nose and Throat specialist) and the did a pressure test on her and she completely failed on both sides.  You are supposed to have a peak on the graph, in her right ear it was just flat and in her left ear there was little waves.  Which means that her ear drums were not moving. Then they did a sounds test to check her hearing.  And well that one didn't go as good as i thought it would be.  I thought she was hearing pretty well.  She was responding to me and answering questions, so i thought her hearing was fine.  In the sound test they tested at what % did she hear voices.  Normal is 0-15% Elene heard 35% and then they did static noises, normal around 35% she heard 65-70%.  So with those test and the 8 ear infections we went with tubes.
So Monday she went and had them put in.  She hope right into the wagon and went with them no problem.  I am sure once they got her out of the wagon and she realized that I didn't come with that she cried, but that is to be expected.  We got her back 15 minutes after they took her.  She was awake again and as mad and can be.  I think she felt heart broken because we left her alone. But once we got home she was as happy as can be.  For most of that day she was making noises, because she realized she can hear.  I am so glad that we did the tubes for her.
She isn't quite sleeping through the night yet, but I am sure that is not to far off the in the distance.  I think the teething is what is stalling it now.  But I am excited for the day when I can sleep through the night on a regular base.
